Assange has expressed the hope that he will be able to engage in dialogue with the British authorities about his fate .

The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange on Friday said the decision by Swedish prosecutors to cancel investigation against him an important victory for himself and for the UN Council on human rights.

“Today is an important victory for me and for the UN Council on human rights,” said George.Assange, speaking to reporters from the balcony of Embassy of Ecuador in London.

“But it is in any case does not negate the seven years of retention in custody without charges and almost five years under house arrest in the Embassy, without sunlight,” – said the founder of Wikileaks.
