NEW DELHI, April 21. /Offset. TASS Evgenie Pahomov/. Chelyabinsk oblast is planning to increase trade with India is three to four times in two years. This was announced by the Governor of the region Boris Dubrovsky during the presentation of the business potential of the region, which takes place in India.
“Last year the trade turnover of the Chelyabinsk region from all over India was only about $65 million Is slightly more than 1.5% of the total foreign trade turnover of the region. This is clearly insufficient given the potential of our territory and a huge, rapidly growing India. I believe that if we manage for a period of two years to raise the volume of trade in two-four times, I would have thought that our work in this direction will be successful,” – said Dubrovsky on the sidelines of the meeting, which was held at the Federation of chambers of Commerce of India (FICCI ).
“We look forward to developing economic and cultural cooperation and see the interest in our region from the Indian side. The only limiting factor is logistics, which is complicated enough between our region and regions of India, we intend to discuss the possibility of delivery of goods,” – said the Governor of the region.
