Diamond “Pink star” at 59.6 carats will be sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong April 4

Auction house Sotheby’s presented in London the diamond “Pink star” (The Pink Star) with a weight of 59.6 carats.

Stone is the world’s largest flawless fancy pink diamond hue, which was rated by the American Gemological Institute (GIA), according to a press release from Sotheby’s.

The cost of the “Pink star” is estimated at more than $60 million.

The diamond was found by De Beers in 1999 and initially weighed 132,5 CT. After treatment the resulting diamond has an oval shape and mixed cut.

Auction of Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite on which you plan to sell the diamond, will be held in Hong Kong on 4 April .
