In the Czech Republic on Saturday, 13 January, ended the first round of the presidential elections in 2018. At the moment it is estimated 99% of the ballots, according to Radio Prague.

According to preliminary results of counting of votes, leaders in the first round of the presidential election are the current President of the country Milos Zeman and the former head of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Jiri Dragos.

On account of Milos Zeman – 38,592 % of the vote.

For Jiri Dragos in the first round voted – 26,59 % of the voters.

Both, according to the rules, will become participants of the second round of voting. The second round of presidential elections held on 26 and 27 January.

According to the Czech statistical office, in the presidential election was attended by about 61,79% of Czech voters.

Candidate Pavel Fisher, former Ambassador of the Czech Republic in France gained – 10,23% .

Michal Horacek, the former owner of the lottery company, songwriter, writer, journalist of 9.18%

Marek Hilser, a doctor and a specialist in international relations – of 8.83%

The other candidates – Producer and composer Peter Hanig, Manager, Chairman of the Association of defence industry of the Czech Republic Jiri Hynek, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the automobile Škoda Auto Vratislav Kulganek and former Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek has remained under the limit of 5%.

As reported, after counting more than half of the votes Zeman won with a score of almost 42%.
