Ex-German Chancellor Schroeder in the independent Director “Rosneft”

Business news:as independent Directors, in addition to Schroeder, nominated former Treasurer of ExxonMobil Donald Humphreys, Arthur Matthias Warnig and Oleg Vyugin.

The Russian government has put forward eks-German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and three other candidates as the independent Directors of Rosneft, as well as three candidates for the Board of Directors as representatives of the Russian Federation.

As reported TASS, the corresponding decree published on the government website.

As independent Directors, in addition to Schroeder, nominated former Treasurer of ExxonMobil Donald Humphreys, managing Director of Nord Stream AG Matthias Arthur Warnig and Professor HSE Oleg Vyugin.

Candidates to the Board of Directors of steel Minister of energy Alexander Novak, the Russian presidential aide Andrei Belousov and head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin.

Currently, the Board of Directors of “Rosneft” reported 9 people . As Sechin said, “Rosneft” has already to expand the number of Directors to 11.

“Rosneft” plans to hold an extraordinary shareholders meeting on 29 September in St. Petersburg, which will discuss the issues of payment of dividends for the first half of 2017 and the election of members of the Board of Directors of the company.

Earlier, rossm, citing sources in the Russian government and Rosneft, reported that Schroeder was invited to the Board of Directors of Rosneft as an independent Director.

Gerhard schröder was Chancellor of Germany from 1998 to 2005, he was opposed to EU sanctions against Russia, as they “cause significant damage to both parties”.

In October 2016, Schroeder headed the Board of Directors of the daughters of “Gazprom”, the company “Nord stream-2”.
