Former MP Ephraim escorted in Luhansk oblast
The former head of fraction of Party of regions in Verkhovna Rada Olexander Yefremov transferred from Kiev to a detention center in the city of Starobilsk in Luhansk region, reported the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larisa Sargan edition ZN.UA.
According to her, Ephraim escorted to the Luhansk region on Friday, January 13. The next meeting of the ex-MP will start on January 16 at 10:00.
As reported, Yefremov was detained July 30, 2016 at the Kiev airport on suspicion of committing a number of criminal offences. August 8, Pechersk district court of Kiev chose to it a measure of restraint in form of detention for a period of 60 days – until October 4. The decision of the court the option of bail is not granted on 24 November, the Pechersky district court of Kiev satisfied the petition of the state office of public Prosecutor about prolongation of a measure of restraint in form of detention for Yefremov to 22 January 2017.
A . Ephraim is accused of the organisation of capture of a building of Lugansk regional public administration (part 3 of article 27, article 341 of the Criminal code), aiding in the capture of a building of management of SBU in the Luhansk region (part 5, article 27, article 341 of the Criminal code of Ukraine). Also, ex-the head of fraction of Party of regions is accused of deliberate action to change the limits of the territory and the state border of Ukraine in violation of the order established by the Constitution (part 3, article 110 of the Criminal code of Ukraine), promote the establishment and activities of the terrorist organization “Luhansk people’s Republic” (part 1 of article 258-3 of the Criminal code of Ukraine), as well as high treason (part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal code of Ukraine).
The appellate court of Luhansk region decided to hold a court session on the case of A. Efremov to Starobilsk in Luhansk region.
