Golikova: raising the retirement age – not a panacea
MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. Raising the retirement age in Russia is not a panacea to the problem of balance, FIU must be approached comprehensively. This opinion was expressed by the head of audit chamber Tatyana Golikova during his speech at the Gaidar forum.
Gaidar forum. Day two
“When you put the question that a panacea for all is the increase in the retirement age, it is not a panacea for everything. Yes, probably, we approached the time when in Russia increased life expectancy and we can put the question of raising the retirement age, but when we talk about life expectancy and raising the retirement age, we should be talking more about adjusting to disability,” – said Golikova.
Otherwise, according to the head of accounting chamber, there is a risk of a situation in which citizens will “deliberately go into the shadows” and no results it will bring .
“If we only talk about raising the retirement age, we will not solve the problem of balancing the pension Fund and its dependence on the Federal budget”, – said Golikova.
