As reported, February 23, 2017, Parliament was unable to delegate its quota auditor to conduct an independent evaluation of the effectiveness of NABOO. Deputies considered a draft decree №5571, which proposed to delegate to the Deputy inspector General of the U.S. Department of justice Robert Storch. However, the head of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” Igor gryniv has nominated Briton Nigel brown. The results of voting deputies did not support any of candidates and decided to return the matter to the Committee for revision .

March 15, the Committee on preventing and combating corruption in the Verkhovna Rada failed to consider candidates for the position of independent auditor of NABOO.

Wednesday, March 16, the anti-corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada gathered for a session. A number of people’s deputies from the group of “Euro-optimists” claims of violations during consideration of candidates for the position of independent auditor of NABOO. “Illegitimate anti-corruption Committee handed Nigel brown as a candidate for auditor of NABOO,” wrote the Deputy Svetlana Zalishchuk on his Facebook page.

According to her, formally, at the Committee meeting voted for both candidates – N.Brown and Robert Storch, but the meeting was illegitimate. “The meeting was a fake. Legitimate was to take place 24 hours after informing all members of the Committee, thus, no earlier than 9.15 tomorrow”, – said the Deputy.

On 16 March the Parliament was unable to consider this question, because this proposal was supported by only 205 deputies.
