Hockey players of Russian national team lost to Canada in the bronze medal match at the world youth Championships

DMITROV /Moscow region/, January 13. /TASS/. The Russian women’s team with the score 1:5 lost to team Canada in the match for third place in the youth world championship on hockey (players no older than 18 years), which takes place in the Moscow suburb of Dmitrov.

In the Russian team the only goal was scored by Vita Poniatowska 50 minutes. The winners were scored by Julie Gosling (20), Audrey-Ann Waylett (27), Abigail Malone (35), Courtney Vorster (41) and Alexi Guayana (49).

Saturday will be the final match of the tournament, which will meet the teams of USA and Sweden. Kick-off at 19:30 GMT.

Female youth ice hockey world championship has been held annually since 2008. Six times he won the American team, four – canadian team. The Russian team won two bronze medals (2015, 2017 ).
