World news:Current problems of Estonia, its place in modern Europe, discussed on the big stage of the Festival during a discussion with the participation of the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid.

August 11-12, in the Estonian city of Paide hosted the Festival of opinions, which was attended by Ukrainian experts, representatives of Diaspora, as well as employees of the interior Ministry of Ukraine who are in Estonia to get acquainted with the experience.

Nearly two hours continued in Paide discussion “How and what Europe can bring about a real change in the East of Ukraine .” To participate in it in Estonia Jaanika came Mirilo, economic and public figure, Vice-mayor of the Dnieper and Alexander Golubov, a political commentator, a DW correspondent in Kyiv

During the discussion held a teleconference with Kramatorsk, which was attended by the deputies of Slavic city Council Olga Altunina, Director of the Donetsk regional branch of “Center of development of local self-government” Artem Vivdich. The moderator of the discussion in Kramatorsk became the Director of a local Crisis media center Sergei Popov. Pijesku part of the discussion was conducted by Dmitri Teperik, Executive Director of the International Centre for security and defence (Estonia).

The discussion was attended by Estonian residents, including representatives of the local Ukrainian community, Vice-President of the Congress of Ukrainians in Estonia Vera Konyk. Very active at the event were the Ukrainian police (about 20 people) who came to Estonia at the invitation of the International centre for defence and protection – to get acquainted with the Estonian experience.

Interesting was the discussion “Russia: Farewell or see you soon? The youth decides”, is devoted to moving talented Russian youth in Estonia, EU.

In General, the Estonian Festival of opinions, one of the many festivals of democracy that took place in Europe, was attended by about 10 thousand people.
