In Hezbollah said that the Islamic and Christian Holy places in Jerusalem is in danger

BEIRUT, December 7. /TASS/. The fate of Jerusalem is a key issue in the middle East conflict, therefore, the recognition by the US administration in this city as the capital of Israel “threatens the Islamic and Christian Holy places”. This was stated on Thursday, the leader of the Shiite party “Hezbollah” Hassan Nasrallah.

In the speech, which was broadcast on the TV channel Al-Manar, he pointed out that the US President Donald trump “does not respect international instruments and in the interests of Israel were subjected to humiliation feelings of millions of Muslims and Christians.”

“In response to this insult, we call on the Arab and Islamic world to support a new uprising of the Palestinians and provide them with political, financial and military aid,” said Nasrallah .

He added that Arab countries “should take the process of normalization of relations with Israel in response to the decision of the President of the United States Donald trump in Jerusalem.” Nasrallah called on Arabs “to resume the operation of the law of boycott of Israel.”

“The Arab League and Organization of Islamic cooperation should also adopt a resolution recognizing Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Palestine”, – he said.

According to Nasrallah, “in the Arab and Islamic world must be stopped, all internal conflicts in the name of unity around the Palestinians and to protect Jerusalem.”

The status of Jerusalem is one of the key problems in Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Israel occupied its Eastern part during the 1967 war and insist that Jerusalem is their “one and indivisible” capital. The Palestinians want to make East part of the city is the capital of the state.

On Wednesday, trump announced the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the beginning of preparations for the transfer of the us Embassy there.
