In Romania can be problems with electricity because of the cold weather
Transelectrica reported on possible crisis situations with the supply of electricity.
Romanian energy company “Transelectrica” (Transelectrica) has warned about the possible occurrence of a crisis situation with the supply of electricity to household consumers due to the continuous cold.
This is stated in an official letter to the company, addressed to the Ministry of energy, Ministry of economy and the National Agency for energy regulation.
“In the National energy system may experience a crisis situation with the supply of electricity due to continuous haloed and another warning meteorologists of severe frosts, which will last until January 20. In addition, sharply increased the volume of consumption of gas and electricity,” – said in a letter to the power company.
It is also emphasized that one of the reasons for the emergence of the crisis was “unprecedented in recent years, the fall of the water level in the Danube .”
The Romanian government plans to discuss at a future meeting the issue of temporary cessation of export of electric energy.
