The flight was canceled and passengers were evacuated, reports The Local.
“After the pilots started the plane, there was a fire in one of the engines,” the airline said.
The incident occurred at about seven o’clock, when the Swedish plane Saab-2000 of airline BRA taxied to the runway and had to take off.
The captain cancelled the takeoff of the aircraft, and the passengers were removed from the plane. Later they flew on another plane.
According to the Aviation rescue center of Sweden, the situation was quickly brought under control and not an emergency.
It is unknown what caused the fire. It is reported that the engineers of the airline examined the airplane, however, requires further investigation .
