In Ukraine increased the number of registered unemployed
In January of officially registered unemployed Ukrainians became 10% more – 429 thousand.
The number of registered unemployed in Ukraine in January 2017 increased compared with December last year at 9.8%, while in absolute terms by 38.2 thousand persons, to 429 thousand people, reported the State statistics service.
The number of registered unemployed in January was 1.6% of the working age population, which is 0.1 PP higher than last month.
The number of unemployed receiving benefits increased by 34.1 thousand people to 351,2 thousand While the average benefit in January 2015 amounted to UAH UAH 1997 against the previous month. Got the job in January to 3.9% of the registered unemployed.
The competition for the one vacant seat in January amounted to 9 people, while in December last year for one job claimed 11 people .
The data are presented excluding the Crimea and the zone of the antiterrorist operation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
As reported, the number of unemployed in Ukraine, according to state statistics, at the end of 2016 amounted to 390,8 thousand, which corresponded to 1.5% of the population of working age.
Earlier experts of the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine predicted that the unemployment rate in Ukraine in 2016 will make up 9.2% according to ILO methodology.
