NKREKU from April 1, will increase the wholesale market price of electricity by 1% instead of the planned reduction.
The national Commission carrying out regulation in the energy and utilities (NKREKU), plans to cancel a planned decrease of 5.8% from 1 April 2017 the wholesale market price (ORC) for electricity and increase it by 1%. About this on his page on the social network Facebook said the head of the national Commission Dmitry Vovk.
“In the current environment, including the embargo, we regret to inform about the cancellation of previously planned decision to lower wholesale market prices from 1 April 2017,” – said the head of the national Commission.
He also said about the need to increase wholesale market prices by 1% compared with the value of orts, which takes effect from 1 April 2017 to ensure the stable operation of the power system .
As reported, at the end of December 2016 the national Commission has reduced the forecast of the CRC in 2017 15.2%, to 1285 UAH per 1 MWh. Also the Commission made the decision to re-price reduction from 1 April 2017 5.8% to 1264 UAH per 1 MWh.
At the end of January 2017 ATO veterans and some MPs initiated a blockade of the railway crossings, in which anthracite coal is shipped from the temporarily uncontrolled territories for thermal power plants of Ukraine. Since February 10, the coal supply was completely stopped. On 15 March the Council of national security and defense took a decision to stop the movement of goods across the demarcation line in the ATO area.
