The Italian foreign Minister has called the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions the terms of returning of Russia in “group of eight”.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Italy Angelino Alfano said that the return to the G8 format involving Russia need to be lifted after the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions, Interfax reports.
The Italian foreign Minister expressed the hope that “after overcoming the issue of sanctions, it will be possible to return to the G8 format”, but, in his words, “the time has not come yet, given the summit at the end of may in Taormina”.
In addition, Alfano said that “the return to the G8 format with Russia’s participation is the goal, over which there is work.”
Informed Angelino Alfano announced plans to discuss with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson sanctions against Russia .
