Karjakin in the lead before the last stage of the “Dakar” in the standings ATV

MOSCOW, January 14. /TASS/. Russian rider Sergey Karyakin on a Yamaha finished first in the 11th stage of the rally-marathon “Dakar” in the standings ATVs. The special stage with a length of 288 km he covered in 3 hours 58 minutes 22 seconds.
Second place in the Argentinian Daniel Domaszewski (“Honda”), who lost to the Russian in 20 minutes 41 seconds.
With this victory, Karjakin strengthened leadership in the overall standings, ahead of second coming, as they say, Ingacio Casale (Yamaha) at 1 hour 16 minutes 24 seconds.
Motorcyclists at the 11th stage of the Russian Alexander Ivanyutin (“Husqvarna”) took 23rd place, behind stage winner of the Portuguese Paolo Goncalves (Honda) at 31 minute 43 seconds. In the General classification in the lead, the Briton Sam Sunderland on a KTM.
The 39th rally-RAID “Dakar” passes through the territory of Paraguay, Argentina and Bolivia and finishes on January 14 in Buenos Aires .
