“LIAR and Lichtmacher Ukraine” to develop the electronic application for the control of the police of the legality of harvested timber
State enterprise “Forestry innovation and analytical centre” (“LIAC”) and OOO “Lichtmacher Ukraine” plan by mid-may to develop the electronic application to control the police of the legality of harvested timber and its movement.
According to the press release “Lichtmacher Ukraine”, March 10, the company and “LIAZ” signed a contract on further development of system of electronic accounting of timber.
“We are talking about creating a module “Control”, which is intended for the National police of Ukraine. This application will help the police to exercise effective control of the legality of harvested timber and its movement”, – stated in a press release.
According to the company, the police will have convenient and fast access to the database of the system of electronic accounting of timber, which will increase the efficiency in the performance of their duties . During the inspection of the origin of round timber, their assortment composition (species, grade, length, diameter, etc.) the police will be able to quickly obtain reliable information from the Central server of the system of electronic accounting of timber.
The introduction module will take about two months.
“The module is implemented, Netpolice will finally receive the effective control tool over the forest. It only remains to connect the remaining forest enterprises (subordinate to the Ministry of defense, Ministry of environment and local councils) to the system of electronic accounting of timber,” – said in the message.
System of electronic accounting of timber was developed from 2009 to 2012 on the basis of the Austrian model software WinforstPro. The personnel of the company Latschbacher AG (Austria), Timber&EquipmentGmbH (Germany) and “Matchmaker of Ukraine” has adapted innovative logistics technologies to the specifics of ukraisnkih enterprises. In 2013, the system of electronic accounting of timber was implemented in 192 forest enterprises subordinated to the State Agency of forest resources. Today the system is used by 273 forestry, which represents about 80% of the total number of permanent forest users in Ukraine.
