Lithuania cut off from Kaliningrad fence

On the wall it will be spent 3,6 million euros
Lithuania is going to build a fence on the border with the Kaliningrad oblast. The relevant expenses in the budget of the country in 2017, according to the newspaper Lietuvos žinios.
It is expected that the construction of the wall will be spent 3,6 million euros. Vilnius also wants to provide a border surveillance systems, however, means it is planned to find next year, said the head of Ministry of internal Affairs of Latvia Eimutis Misunas.
The Minister said that the new facility “will not be a Chinese wall.” The fence, he said, should ensure that smugglers and illegal immigrants will not be able to enter the territory of Latvia.
A tender for the construction of the fence, the length of which is about 135 kilometers, is planned to be announced in the near future. It will run from the district Vistica (where cross the borders of Poland, Lithuania and Russia) to the Nemunas . The length of the land border between Lithuania and Kaliningrad oblast is 288 kilometers.
