The speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko considered unacceptable behavior by the Russian Ambassador to the UN Vladimir Safronkov during the last meeting of the security Council, in which the Russian diplomat demanded from British colleagues “not to offend Russia.”
Matvienko says that he fully supports the position of head of chair of constitutional and municipal law Department of Moscow state University Suren Avakyan, who said that the diplomat has to act that way, according to “Russian conversation”.
According to Matvienko, a relatively Safrankova she has managed to talk to the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, after explaining his point of view. She said that after her appeal to the head of foreign policy Department appropriate action against the representative of Russia in the UN will be undertaken.
“I told Lavrov his point of view. Lavrov shares her . All signals have been sent,” said she.
We will remind, at a meeting of the UN security Council on Syria on 12 April, the Russian permanent representative allowed themselves to emotional remarks about British colleagues, demanding “not to offend Russia.”
