Agence France-Presse (AFP) quotes a slightly different version of criminal activity of this Frenchman. The judicial proceedings in his case was conducted in 2005, as in 2001 he was armed with a pistol, stole the car. He managed to break away from police chase, but on the way he bumped into the car in which were two brothers, one of whom was a policeman.
The offender fled the scene, but then the brothers caught up with him. One of them was on his sleeve the armband with the inscription “police”. However, the hijacker fired two shots at them – both received severe wounds in the abdominal cavity.
Later the shooter was apprehended by police. While under arrest, he seized the arms of the police, who deduced it from the camera and fired several shots at him. He was seriously injured.
