Moldova adopted the law on the fight against the Russian propaganda

The document provides for restrictions on the broadcast of content working in the country of Russian TV channels.

The Parliament of Moldova by a majority of votes adopted the law on prohibition of relay in the country propaganda programs of the Russian TV channels. About it reports UKRINFORM.

According to the document, the ban will affect informational, analytical, political and military programs of Russian television.

Violators of the law face fines from two to three and a half thousand euros, and in the case of repeated violation the fines can increase up to five thousand euros, and the Coordinating Council on television and radio will have the right to initiate the procedure of revocation of broadcast licenses.

The adoption of the law voted 61 (out of 101) member of Parliament, against his decision in favor of the opposition, the Communists and the deputies from the Party of socialists .

Earlier with the initiative to ban Russian television propaganda on the territory of Moldova was made by the Democratic party.

The President of Moldova Igor Dodon has declared that will not sign the law. According to the legislation of the country, if the President refuses to sign the law, Parliament must vote for its adoption, after which the document will be published in the Official Gazette.
