More than 20 people were killed in an explosion in Baghdad

MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. At least 23 people were killed in the explosion of a car bomb South of Baghdad.

This was reported by Reuters.

None of the existing in the country by extremist groups has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Ministry of internal Affairs of Iraq yet officially confirmed the death of 13 people. The Agency notes that was “undermined by a car bomb, parked in the Amil district, close to shopping areas, which led to the deaths of 13 civilians, 31 people were injured”.

According to the preliminary version, the attacks are militants grouping “Islamic state” (IG banned in Russia).

As noted in the report of the UN Mission for assistance to Iraq in February victims of violence in Iraq were 392 people, more than 600 were injured .
