North Korea has offered South Korea to discuss 15 January participation of the actors in the Olympics

TASS, January 13. DPRK proposed to South Korea on 15 January to discuss the visit of the North Korean artists to the Olympics in Pyeongchang. This was announced on Saturday by the Japanese Agency Kyodo and Reuters, citing South Korean unification Ministry.

“North Korea sent a notice to negotiate at the working group level on the North Korean side of Panmunjom village on 15 January on the arrival of the art team”, – quotes Reuters the words of the Ministry.

Earlier on this date, Seoul has proposed to appoint negotiations about participation of the delegation of the North in the Games . However, still unknown, will there be a meeting – Pyongyang and Seoul have not officially given consent to each other for specific topics of talks.

The Department also noted that the DPRK would like to propose a new date for negotiations on the participation of its delegation in the Olympic games.

January 9 at the border crossing at Panmunjom negotiations were held between representatives of the DPRK and South Korea, where it was decided that North Korea will send to the Olympics in Pyeongchang representative government delegation, the demonstration team of Taekwondo athletes, fans and support group, consisting of dancers and musicians. The question of participation of North Korean athletes in the Olympic games is not yet resolved.

Olympic games will be held in Pyeongchang from 9 to 25 February.
