Odessa seaport in January-November reduced the cargo capacity by 5.3%

Odessa seaport in January-November 2017 passed of 21.88 million tons, which is 5.3% less than in January-November 2016.

According to the operative data of the administration of seaports of Ukraine, during 11 months the port decreased transshipment of export cargo by 8.7% – to 15.89 million tons, import increased by 19.7%, to 3.896 million tons, transit has reduced by 16.4%, to 2 million tonnes, cabotage increased by 58.5% – up to 86.8 thsd tonnes.

Bulk liquids handling decreased by 11.6% to 2.14 million tons, dry bulk decreased by 7.4 percent to 10.98 million tonnes, dry – decreased by 0.8%, to 8.75 million tons.

As reported, the Odessa port in January-October 2017 exceeds 19.9 million tons of cargo, which is 4.4% less than in January-October of 2016. For 10 months, the port reduced the transshipment of export cargo by 8.2 per cent to 14.49 million tons, import increased by 21.8%, to 3 .54 million tons, transit decreased by 14% to 1,823 million tons, cabotage increased by 87% – up to 86.8 thsd tonnes.

Odessa port is located in the South-Western part of Odessa Bay on the artificially created territory of 109,5 hectares area

In the port are served by vessels up to 270 m and draught up to 13 m. the Total length of berthing line is more than 8 km.
