Rosselkhoznadzor: a quarter of the food in Russia is falsified

MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. About a quarter of the food in Russia is falsified, said the assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexey Alekseenko at the Gaidar forum.

“Our random inspections, falsified steadily a quarter of all food products of all kinds, except one – food egg falsifiziert only in China, we have,” he said.

This problem causes enormous damage, said Alekseenko.

In the middle of 2016, the Rosselkhoznadzor has published information about the different methods of adulteration of dairy products. As reported in Department, in order to reduce the cost of the company’s products, besides the vegetable fat, added to the production of starch, chalk, soap, soda, lime, boric or salicylic acid, plaster, dilute with water . The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert noted that the proportion of counterfeit dairy products (with vegetable fat) in Russia in 2015 was 11%, in some cases, the percentage of adulteration in dairy products reached 50%.

However, later the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev said that more than 90% of samples of milk, taken out by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the CPS meet all the quality standards, the proportion of counterfeits “miserable”.
