Alexander Fedoriva agreed to return the gold medal, said the mother of the sportswoman Lyudmila Fedoriva. Together with Evgeniya Polyakova, Yulia Gushchina and Yuliya Chermoshanskaya Fedoriva won the 2008 Games in Beijing in relay race 4×100 m. In August 2016 the national team of Russia was deprived of the medals in this kind of program . The results of the inspection in the doping sample Chermoshanskaya found two banned substances — stanozolol and dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (turinabol).

At the Games in Beijing Polyakova, Fedoriva, Gushchina and Chermoshanskaya showed the best time in the final race (42,31 seconds).
