MOSCOW, January 14. /TASS/. Russian Andrey Rublev made it to the main draw of the Australian Open – the first season of the tournament series “Grand slam” (prize Fund – $37.5 million).
For an exit in the main draw, the Russians defeated canadian Peter Polansky in three sets 6:4, 4:6, 6:3. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Earlier, another Russian tennis player Evgeny Donskoy was not able to get into the main tournament, losing in the third qualifying round .
