MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. The proportion of meat, poultry, fish and confectionery products, which do not meet the requirements, is on the Russian market from 3.7 to 6.6%. About it reported in a press-service of Rospotrebnadzor, commenting on the statement by Deputy head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alekseyenko that about a quarter of the food in Russia is falsified.

“According to Rospotrebnadzor, the largest volume of non-compliant food products are imported melons nitrates and imported fish – the content of the glaze, the import of which is permitted by the relevant (veterinary – approx. ed.) authorities”, – stated in the message of Rospotrebnadzor.
According to Rosstat, the share of food that does not meet the requirements for January – November 2016 were: among meat and poultry and 6.6%, fish – 5,8%, confectionery products – by 3.7%, said the Agency .
Previously, data of the Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor on the compliance of food quality and safety have repeatedly disagreed. The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert several times questioned the validity of the data of the CPS.
