The EU gives Moldova €100 million aid
The EU will provide Moldova with EUR 100 million of macro-financial assistance.
This was announced by the European Commission.
“The European Commission today granted the request of Moldova on granting macro-financial assistance program size of 100 million euros. This assistance will help meet the country’s short-term financial needs,” said a leading EU institutions.
With 40 million euros will be allocated permanently in the form of grants, and another 60 million in the form of loans on favourable for Moldova’s conditions.
As you know, the commitment of the EU to allocate Ukraine the next tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of 600 million euros are currently locked due to failure by the Ukrainian side to certain conditions, in particular banning the export of roundwood .
