The EU will Fund the centers for the detention of migrants in Belarus
The European Commission spokesperson maja Kocijancic said on the envisaged financing in the amount of 7 million euros.
The European Union will provide financial assistance to Belarus in ensuring the rights of migrants, said Friday the representative of the European Commission Maya Kosyanchich.
“The project also aims to Finance the construction and reconstruction of some temporary detention centers for migrants”, – said the representative of the European Commission.
She said that in the framework of the European neighbourhood policy this program provides funding in the amount of 7 million euros.
However, the European Commission representative noted that this program “partnership for mobility” was launched last year and aims to assist the Belarusian side in promoting the human rights of irregular migrants according to international standards.
