The European Union introduced sanctions against high-ranking military officers of Assad’s army
Monday, March 20, the European Union imposed sanctions against four senior military officers of Assad’s army, which in Europe is considered responsible for the use of chemical weapons against civilians.
This is stated in the statement of the EU Council, reports “Russian conversation”.
“The Council of 20 March 2017 has added four high-ranking military personnel in the list of persons subject to the EU restrictive measures against the Syrian regime”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that the military is involved in the chemical attacks on civilians in Syria.
Thus, in the sanctions list now number 67 239 physical and legal entities.
