The head of the FIU: the indexation of pensions to working pensioners will require 200 billion rubles

KRASNOYARSK, April 21. /TASS/. For the indexation of pensions to working pensioners will require 200 billion, Russia now has about 9.6 million working pensioners. This was stated to journalists by the head of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) Anton Drozdov on the sidelines of the Krasnoyarsk economic forum.

“In order to talk about this issue, you need to keep in mind that it must be about 200 billion rubles. Will such a Commission (to consider the possibility of restoring the indexation of pensions to working pensioners – approx. TASS) – will discuss,” – said Drozdov.

According to him, while the FIU has not received instructions to consider the possibility of such indexing .

Earlier, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev the report in the state Duma about results of work of the government in 2016, said that the issue of indexation of pensions to working pensioners and the disabled is not closed and the government will soon formulate its position.

The Prime Minister added that the decision will be made on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the situation with pension funds and pension Fund.

Medvedev recalled that last year the government was forced to make a difficult and unpopular decision to change the indexation of pensions from-for a difficult balancing of the budget.
