The leader of the “samopomich” faction Berezyuk on hunger strike

The head of the parliamentary faction “Samopomich” Oleg Berezyuk went on hunger strike in support of the residents of the city and protest against the actions of the Central government.

“Demanding an end to this bullying and stop lying in state, I am as a person, as a physician and MP of Ukraine took an extraordinary decision for themselves, though I don’t think I’d make that decision in the 21st century – I declare a hunger strike”, – he said at a meeting of the conciliatory Council of leaders of factions, committees and groups of the Parliament on Monday in Kiev.

O. Berezyuk pointed out that the decision he took in support of Lviv , which “always patient and tolerant to power, because they believe in government and want to see him, and that the state represented by the Central government cynically scoffs at them”.

In addition, the head of the faction “samopomich” Union added that it had decided to take this step in protest against the mockery of the city of Lviv.

“Lviv today occupied by the enemy. A year ago in this town Will, which always was and will be at the forefront of the struggle for Ukraine… came the enemy, who for years cynically deceiving at every step, making fun not only of a city Manager or a political party, mocks the people who live there,” he said.

Earlier in the day, the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy stated that the city has accumulated 8500 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW), which couldn’t be taken out, and the Central government is silent in response to a request from Lviv to help.
