The Ministry of regional development has developed a new DBC with the energy efficiency requirements of buildings
The Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services (regional development) has developed a new state building norm DBN B. 2.6-31:2016 “Thermal insulation of buildings” designed to establish minimum requirements for energy efficiency in buildings in Ukraine.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of regional development on Friday, the new DBN involves the implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2 010/31/EC “On energy performance of buildings”, the use of common EU standards for calculation of energy efficiency indicators.
“In addition, the introduction of DBC allows you to use a single software for the whole technological process of definition of efficiency; therefore, all market participants will be able to work in the unified field,” the report cited the head of the Ministry of regional development Gennady Zubko.
As specified in the message, DBN V. 2.6-31:2016 “Thermal insulation of buildings” provides requirements for energy efficiency and thermal insulation properties of protecting designs of buildings and structures and procedures of their calculation.
He also intended for use in the design of buildings and structures heated and cooled condizionata; new construction, reconstruction, modernization, major overhaul, including when determining the costs of fuel and energy resources and conducting energy audit of buildings and structures.
“With a new norm we will be able to save annually about 150 million cubic meters of gas. For new buildings the energy savings will increase by 30%, and in the reconstruction of buildings, built according to Soviet standards – in 2,5-3 times”, – said Deputy Minister of regional development Leo Partskhaladze.
