The NEB completed a pre-trial investigation against nine suspects in the “gas case”
Detectives of the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has completed pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings against nine individuals involved in the so-called “gas case.”
As informs on Friday a press-service of NABOO, the specified criminal proceedings for acts of nine suspects who are wanted.
“In particular, we are talking about three employees of PJSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya” and six representatives of companies-operators of joint activities under control, according to the investigation, MP Oleksandr Onishchenko. To convince the detectives NAB, they were involved in a scheme of embezzlement of funds during the extraction and sale of natural gas, which resulted in the state suffered damage amounting to about 3 billion UAH”, – is told in the message .
The suspect is accused of committing crimes under part 1 of article 255, part 4 of article 28 and part 5 article 191, part 4 of article 28 of part 2 of article 205, part 4 of article 28, part 3 of article 209, part 4 of article 28 of part 2 of article 364-1, part 4 of article 28 of part 2 of article 366, part 1 of article 388 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.

As reported, the pre-trial investigation in the specified criminal proceedings the detectives NAB began in December of 2015. The investigation established probable involvement in the Commission of crime 27.
During pre-trial investigation, nine people have pleaded guilty and signed a deal plea. Nine (including the MP A. Onishchenko) are wanted.
A. Onishchenko 8 August 2016 has been declared a national search, after 5 July, the Verkhovna Rada gave consent to bringing him to justice, detention and arrest.
