The second nuclear submarine project “Lada” will be handed over to the Navy in 2019
MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The second non-nuclear submarine of project 677 “Lada” will be transferred to the Navy is not Russia in 2018 and in 2019 TASS said General Director of “Admiralty shipyards” Alexander Buzakov.

As previously reported, the second and third submarine of this series (“Kronstadt” and “Great Luke”, respectively) had to pass the Russian Navy in 2018 and 2019 and the contract for a fourth expected to sign it in 2018.
Submarines of the type “Lada” refers to the fourth generation of NNS. Surface displacement of submarines of this project is on the order of 1.75 thousand tons (against 2 .3 thousand tons of “Varshavyanka”), and the underwater speed reaches node 21. The submarines of new generation have low noise level and high degree of automation. Their main weapons are cruise missile complex “Caliber”.
The head boat of a series “St.-Petersburg” was founded in 1997 and since the transfer of the fleet in 2010, remains in test mode. “Kronstadt” and “Great Luke” laid respectively in 2005 and 2006. Their construction was suspended and resumed only in 2013.
