The trade representation of Russian Federation in Turkey is dealing with a possible stop purchases of Russian grain

MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. The staff of the trade representation of Russian Federation in Turkey understand the situation with a possible stop purchases of Russian grain producers of Turkish flour, told TASS representative of the Ministry of economic development.

“The Federation of flour manufacturers of Turkey and their suppliers have confirmed this information (about the suspension of purchases of Turkish importers of Russian agricultural products – approx. ed.). Employees of the trade mission understand the situation,” – said the Agency interlocutor .

Earlier, governing Council member of the Association of exporters of Istanbul, Zekeriya meta confirmed to the correspondent of TASS, the fact of the restrictions in the import of Russian grain. According to him, there is a certain Ministerial decree on the restriction of the import of grain from Russia. But all vessels which have already arrived in Turkey with high-quality grain from Russia will be taken.

Trade representation of the Russian Federation in Ankara previously told TASS that Turkey has not imposed a ban on the import of Russian agricultural products and grains, but excluded Russia from the list of countries importing products without tariffs. According to the interlocutor Agency, the Turkish Minister of economy has ordered to introduce the principle of country of origin, and in the list of countries with duty-free import, which may without payment of 130 per cent duty to import raw materials for further processing and exports, Russia and several other States do not. Earlier, the Russian exporters and their clients to the Turkish grain import with zero duty, but it is imported only for processing and subsequent export, for the sale of products in the domestic market still had to pay 130% of the fee.

The new regime came into force on 15 March. All ships arriving before 15 March in Turkish ports or were in transit, gave and will give to unload.
