The Senate forced Donald trump to change the candidate on a post of the Minister of labour.
The head of the White house on Thursday announced the appointment of the other candidates – Alexander Acosta – to the post of Secretary of labor in his administration after it became known that the previous nominee does not receive the necessary support of the Senate.
With the corresponding statement the US President made during a press conference on Thursday.
“He (Acosta – ed.) he has a great career,” said trump, noting that the new nominee is not the first pass approval in the Senate in various positions.
“I just talked to him and I think he will be a good Minister of labour,” added the US President.
The previous candidate for Minister Andrew Pazder was withdrawn from consideration after Senate Republicans expressed doubt that he will get the support of the majority lawmakers during the approval process .
Alexander Acosta was a member of the National Council on labor relations (NLRB), now holds the position of Dean of the law faculty of the International University of Florida.
Under President George W. Bush in 2003, Acosta was assistant attorney General in civil matters Ministry of justice of the United States and by the attorney for the southern district of Florida.
