Ukraine plans to request the extradition of the convicted in the annexed Crimea Chiygoza

Ukraine will ask for extradition of the convicted in the annexed Crimea Deputy Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people of Akhtem chigusa, permits the Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP from the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” – Refat Chubarov.

“My lawyers have already lined up a further plan to save Akhtem chigusa, as the release of other political prisoners,” he said at a rally in support of A. Chiygoza on Wednesday in Kiev.

However, he acknowledged that the decision is for the President of the Russian Federation.

“Carrying out legal steps, feeding and moving appeal to the European court of human rights, we will try to force Russia to extradite, return Akhtem chigusa in Ukraine”, – said R. Chubarov.

He noted that for good reason. According to him, that the verdict of the “Supreme court” of the annexed Crimea was forced to call A. Chiygoza a citizen of Ukraine, has a chance and a mechanism to use this tool .

On 11 September the so-called “Supreme court” of the annexed Crimea A. Chiygoza was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment in a colony.

A. Chiygoz was detained January 29, 2015 in the Crimea on suspicion in organization and participation in mass riots on February 26, 2014, in fact – for participating in a rally in support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity in front of the Crimean Parliament, when protesters confronted Pro-Russian activists, including from the party “Russian unity”.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the sentence A. Chigos is the next sentence the Russian Federation, which are internationally recognized by the occupier.
