Ukrainians should know who and how many will pay the debt to the IMF, MP from the “Our land” shahs
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should immediately make public the plan for loan s from the International monetary Fund indicating the sources of these costs, since this year begin large payments on IMF loans, said the people’s Deputy from “Our region” Sergey Shakhov.
“The Cabinet must present to the Parliament, and all Ukrainians a plan of debt repayment to the IMF, and most importantly – to explain to the public what sources will be repaid. People should not have to pay out of pocket for the failures of government. This year you need to pay the IMF more than $1bn, and in the next three years – even more than 5bn. For debt service to the Fund we need GDP growth of at least 5% annually, but the current Cabinet is not able to provide it”, – quotes S. Yadav, the press service of the party “Our edge” on Monday.
He noted that the IMF may try to impose on the Ukrainian authorities even more unfavorable conditions for obtaining the next tranche of the loan.
“We have to get ready that the terms of the loan could further deteriorate. The government itself has put himself in this trap, because they held secret negotiations and were going to make any concessions to get a loan. And it will continue until until all agreements of such a plan will not be achieved publicly”, – concluded S. Shakhov.
As reported, the IMF Executive Board has postponed the planned March 20 consideration of the completion of the third review of the eff Program for Ukraine.
