Earlier Wednesday, the newspaper The New York Times reported on the closure case against 95 of the 96 Russian athletes mentioned in the report. According to the publication, one of the reasons that influenced the investigation, is the lack of evidence Rodchenkova.

Two commissions of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the basis of the report of the independent Commission WADA, headed by McLaren lead the investigation. One, led by Swiss Denis Oswald, is engaged in research on doping samples from the Olympics-2014, the second of which controls the other Swiss citizen Samuel Schmidt, is investigating the involvement of Russian officials to the possible concealment of doping violations by athletes.
