Wfla: the IAAF will participate in the youth world championship Russian athletes

The international Association of athletics federations (IAAF) expects that some of the young Russian athletes who will receive a neutral status, will be able to participate in the world Junior championship in Nairobi. This was reported TASS the sports Director of the Russian athletics Federation (vfla) Andrew Kuporosnogo.

The IAAF has published a new international pool of doping testing, in which the representation of the Russian athletes rose from 60 to 73 people. Of the 13 included ten athletes born in 2000 or 2001 and are included in the youth national team.

“The IAAF has decided to include several young Russian athletes in its pool of doping testing to ensure that they had the chance to play at the world Junior championship in Nairobi, noted Kuporosnogo. As you know, some countries have refused to send their athletes to this tournament. The IAAF is interested in increasing the number of participants . She took the initiative to include our young athletes in your pool.”

The new list includes ten Russian athletes: Pauline Miller (running 200 m), Sergey Kozhevnikov (walking), Ekaterina Gorshenina (walking), Elvira Khasanova (walking), Irina Kurbatova (sprint), Barbara nasibulina (sprint), Valentina Ulyanov (high jump), Aksana gataullina (pole vault), Daniel Toundykov (running 3000 m) and Salavat Ilkaev (walking). None of these athletes have not yet received permission from the IAAF to participate in international competition in the neutral status.

World youth championship will be held in the Kenyan capital Nairobi from 12 to 16 July. According to the official website of the IAAF, the deadline for the submission of applications for participation in the tournament will expire on June 26.
