Zaporizhzhya regional state administration intends to avoid disconnecting the population from electricity in case of emergency in the United energy system of Ukraine
Zaporizhia oblast hopes to avoid disconnection of public electricity in case of emergency (PE) in the United energy system (UES) of Ukraine due to the powerful industrial potential and the lack of restrictions on supply of coal for Zaporozhskaya TPP.
As have informed on Thursday in Department of information activities of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration, during the meeting of the regional Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situative Zaporizhzhya regional state administration, sets out measures to determine the modes of electric and heat supply of settlements, enterprises, institutions and organizations in case of emergency situation in the United energy system of the country.
Head of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration Kostiantyn Bryl noted that “in comparison with other regions, in the Zaporozhye region the situation is positive.”
“We produce more than 30% of the country’s electricity are of nuclear power plants . Due to the powerful industrial site, hopefully we can avoid disconnection of public electricity,” – said K. Bryl.
In turn, as the Director of the Department of industry and infrastructure development of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration Andrey Antonov, at the moment the heads of the 49 companies in the region tasked to be prepared for possible limitations of electricity supply. “Relevant graphics already made, the problems with electricity generation in the Zaporozhye region there,” he said.
According to him, at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant has 5 units with a total capacity of 5,000 MW. Chief Manager of OP “Zaporozhia NPP” stands ready to respond to emergencies in the United energy system. In the warehouses of Zaporizhzhya thermal power plant is about 160 thousand tons of gaseous coal of marks G, DG, GSS, DHSS and about 3.7 thousand tons of fuel oil, which corresponds to the average inventory level during the winter season. Zaporozhskaya TPP uses coal of grade D, which is produced in the Dnipropetrovsk region. “Limitations with the supply of coal is not expected”, – noted A. Antonov
According to acting General Director of OJSC “zaporizhzhyaoblenergo” Yuri Lisnyak, today the enterprise is not a task to use of graphs “fan” (temporary) shutdowns and power decreases.
However, the schedule of possible limitations will be developed and posted on the website of the company.
PJSC “zaporizhzhyaoblenergo” is recommended to ensure prompt response in case of introduction of schedules of restriction or outages of electricity consumers.
