Kyiv expects the second wave of the liberation of the detained persons in short time

The Ukrainian side in the Tripartite contact group expects that the second wave of liberation of persons held in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions will be held in the near future, reported the press Secretary of the President of Ukraine, representative of the country in the pipeline Leonid Kuchma Daria olifer.

“We expect that the second wave of the liberation of the detained persons will take place as soon as possible. The Ukrainian side is ready to compromise for the sake of the people back home,” she wrote on the Facebook page after the TAG meeting on Wednesday in Minsk.

In turn, the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian sub-group of the TAG, the first Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko informed about the work of the subgroup in Minsk. “Humanitarian subgroup, unfortunately, ended in a stalemate due to the destructive position of the Kremlin-controlled representatives ORDO and their curators from Russia. (.. .) there is still no clear answer on the Ukrainian proposal on the lists of hostages, but ORDO trying to tie the release of the hostages to the issue of Amnesty,” she wrote on the Facebook page.

In addition, according to her, Russians do not agree to the establishment of a mechanism to search for missing persons with their participation, and the International Committee of the red cross (ICRC).

“The Ukrainian side reiterated the readiness to continue the process of liberation, we are also ready to pass the Russian Federation convicted to Ukraine of Russian citizens in exchange for political prisoners of the Kremlin”, – said I. Gerashchenko.

She added that despite all artificial obstacles, the Ukrainian side continues to work on the question of release of hostages, “believe that you will get the result.”

As reported, 27 December 2017 was released 74 illegally detained Ukrainian. Side ORDA was handed over 233 of the face. It is the largest exchange of detained persons between the parties in 2015.

In addition, 24 January 2018 were released soldier Roman Savkov, who was held hostage by the militants.
