Media: Israel police plans to press charges against Netanyahu

TEL AVIV, February 13. /TASS./ Israeli police said Tuesday lawyers Benjamin Netanyahu, will make a recommendation to bring charges against the Prime Minister of the Jewish state on the two being investigated in its relation to cases of abuse. About it reports on Tuesday, Israeli public radio “Kan”.

According to the radio, official reports from investigators has not yet been reported. The radio also indicates that we expect a statement from Netanyahu’s office on this subject during the evening .

The police seven times since the beginning of 2017 conducted interviews Netanyahu on the so-called cases of 1000 and 2000. The first one concerns the incorrect design of receiving gifts from two businessmen, the second – of alleged attempts to influence the editorial policy of the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

The latest questioning of Prime Minister was held on 14 December 2017, the sixth of November 19, and the fifth in 10 days before. In the first days of 2017, the investigators twice interrogated the Prime Minister at his residence in Jerusalem, the third interrogation was held on January 27, the fourth on 6 March.

The head of the government had already repeatedly rejected the allegations, which initially were brought against him in the media at the end of 2016. At the end of December of the same year, the attorney General and legal adviser to the government of Israel avichai Mandelblit allowed the police to question Netanyahu in the investigation of two criminal cases. Details of investigations are not disclosed.
