TASS-FILE. 13 Feb 2018 Russian skier Julia belorusova won a bronze medal in the sprint classic at the XXIII Olympic winter games in Pyeongchang (Republic of Korea).

Yulia Belorukova was born on 21 Jan 1995 in Sosnogorsk (Komi Republic).

A student of the Smolensk state Academy of physical culture, sport and tourism.

In six years of the beginning of skiing, training in his hometown. With ten years of training in children’s and youth sports school №2 in the city under the leadership of Alexander Vetrov.

On the domestic competition represents the Republic of Komi and the Russian Armed forces (CSKA).

In March 2014, at the Junior championship of Russia in Syktyvkar took first place in the sprint race in classic style . Also became the silver prize-winner of competitions on a distance of 5 km classic style. In March 2015 in the Junior championship of Russia in Tyumen excelled in the sprint freestyle.

Julia Belorukov is a two-time champion of Russia in cross-country skiing (2017 – team sprint, relay), silver (2014 – sprint classic) and bronze (2016 – sprint freestyle) winner of the national championship.

2014 involved in the world Cup ski racing. In January 2017 the world Cup in Toblach (Italy), together with Natalia Matveeva won the team sprint.

In January – February 2014 in Val di Fiemme (Italy) became the silver medalist of the world championship among juniors in relay and bronze in the sprint freestyle. In February 2015, in Alma-ATA (Kazakhstan) in the same contest placed second in the sprint classic and the relay.

In February 2017 in Lahti (Finland) became the silver medalist of the world championship on ski races in the team sprint (with Natalia Matveeva).

Julia belorusova occupies the 26th place in the overall standings in world Cup ski racing-2017/2018 and the third place in the youth.

He has the rank of Sergeant.
